Description

Jake Nicoll is a musician currently living in windy old St. John’s Newfoundland. Jake plays drums in a number of bands in town and writes songs on piano, guitar, synthesizer and anything else that’s around. “Pool House” is a softer collection of tunes that is reminiscent of 60’s and 70’s folk styles. This album was recorded for the 2022 RPM challenge in a tiny pool house in Pasadena, California. The songs were recorded with one mic to an Ampex 601 reel to reel and a few overdubs were later added in St. John’s.
